How do we go about finding a publisher when we have that piece of writing that has been written and edited?  Make no mistake it is very hard.  The Artist Year Book has a list of Agents and finding an agent is the best way to get a publisher.  there are however many publishers accepting unsolicited manuscripts.

However, more and more of us are going down the self-publishing route.  Amazon give a very good service now on kindle and print on demand and they have cornered the market on self-publishing.  You have to wait a period before you can then publish on other sites such as Kobo.  Amazon, however, do not help all that much with publicising your book,  and it is essential to get reviews.

The major part of writing is the publishing process and then the major part of self-publishing is publicity for your book.  It maybe that , like a lot of us, we just write fo pleasure.  Joining or starting a writing group is a great place to be, try starting one in your local library.
