writing prompt- photos

A visual aid is very a very good way to start a short story or a longer piece. A good source is either a magazine or a newspaper photograph. Maybe you have a book of a favourite place, if so use the photographs to inspire you to write a small paragraph or two.
Don’t forget to go out with your camera on a day out and use those photographs to inspire feelings and memories.
When you have collected a dozen or so paragraphs of studies, it then possible to see a story emerging. Place a character of your choice in this setting and your story will grow and grow. For a character study see my earlier blog.
